Monday is being made merry this season, as CAES Interim Dean Shirley Hymon-Parker hosts her annual holiday reception. The fete is scheduled from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, in the student lounge area of Webb Hall.

Refreshments will be served. Music will be played. Spirits are expected to be festive. All CAES faculty and staff are encouraged to attend the floating reception to celebrate the successes of the semester and fellowship with one another.

USDA Holds Virtual Graduation for 1890s Scholars

Four students from the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences were honored at the USDA 1890 National Scholars Virtual Graduation, held on June 2 on Zoom. U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue spoke at the virtual ceremony, which included 26 graduates from 13 universities.

The College Conference on Cooperatives in Minneapolis was an eye-opening experience for me. The program encompassed presentations, discussions, and visits to some of the Minneapolis co-ops, associations of groups and people who work together to achieve common goals. The experience was more than I expected.
