Join us for the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences Reconnect Information Session, noon-1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30.

Attendees will hear presentations from college leaders and alumni, watch videos, and catch up with fellow alumni and faculty in breakout rooms. Register now.

“In this year in particular, we want to celebrate our successes, like the progress of the new Farm Pavilion, and acknowledge our strengths, like the strong support of our alumni base,” said Mohamed Ahmedna, dean of the college.

The “Greatest Homecoming on Earth” Virtual Edition is scheduled to take place Oct. 29-31. The virtual experience will reconnect alumni through a series of online activities and events that are sure to ignite the spirit of Aggie Pride.

The Office of Alumni Relations has pulled together a line-up of Aggie homecoming traditions that include Fall Convocation, Mister and Miss A&T Coronation video premiere, college meet and greets, vendor exhibitions, class reunions, a donor celebration, DJ battles, Aggie game night, WNAA 90.1 virtual tailgate karaoke, a halftime show and much more.

On Friday, Oct. 30, at 9 p.m., alumni will have the opportunity to participate in a watch party to view the “Stay at Homecoming” documentary presented by From A2B Studios.

“Even though alumni were disappointed to learn that in-person events were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Office of Alumni Relations surveyed our Aggies to gauge their preferences on virtual options,” said Teresa Davis, associate vice chancellor of Alumni Relations. “Due to an overwhelming response from our alumni to stay connected to North Carolina A&T, we decided to move forward with a virtual homecoming edition.”

In addition to alumni events, the Office of Annual Giving is challenging all alumni to give back to A&T through the Homecoming Giving Challenge that will run through Oct. 31. The goal is to secure 1,000 donors, coinciding with the Power of Do Capital Campaign that is focused on raising money for scholarships and the student emergency fund.

CELEBRATING 2021: HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM DEAN AHMEDNA

Dear CAES Family, Happy Holidays to each of you! As I reflect on the year’s events, I realize that 2021 has been a year of contrasts. It was the year we all came back together with a new appreciation for community, although we began the year apart due to the pandemic. It was a year in which we had much to celebrate, because throughout the year, we did what a college of agriculture does best: We grew.
