Dr. Kenrett Jefferson-Moore and Dr. Paula Faulkner attended two related events in January in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, Cambodia: the annual meeting of the Sustainable Intensification Innovation Lab and the First International Sustainable Agricultural Intensification and Nutrition Conference.

At the latter, the faculty members in the Department of Agribusiness, Applied Economics and Agriscience Education presented a poster, “Integrating Gender-Sensitive Participation in Sustainable Intensification and

Nutrition Research.” The poster described preliminary findings from their work on a multi-institutional research effort, with the Appropriate Scale Mechanization Consortium (ASMC). The consortium includes the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (lead institution), Kansas State University, Michigan State University and North Carolina A&T State University.

Jefferson-Moore also moderated a conference session on nutrition and gender.
