Since its inception in 1993, the USDA/1890 National Scholarship Program has been a successful component of the USDA/1890 Partnership. Through this program., the U.S. Department of Agriculture prepares students to be the next generation of leaders in agriculture.
This year, there are 14 USDA/1890 Scholars.

Moseley Steps Down as CAES Advisory Board Chairman
Carroll Moseley of Syngenta U.S., outgoing chairman of the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences’ Advisory Board, gets a hug from board secretary Skipper Jones of AgCarolina Farm Credit as he accepts a plaque and applause for his 10-plus years on the board. Moseley, who earned his Ph.D. at Virginia Tech, is the head of state regulatory affairs at Syngenta and has led the board in such initiatives as Ag Day at Truist Stadium.
