Omoanghe Isikhuemhen, Ph.D., a professor of mushroom science and fungal biotechnology in the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences spoke live during the day-long TED presentation.

Robeson, Montgomery County Growers Named Small Farmer of the Year Finalists

A Robeson County farm couple who grows fruits, vegetables, and culinary and medicinal herbs and a veteran farmer in Montgomery County who has adopted high tunnel agriculture, an advanced water harvesting and holding system, and other innovations are the two finalists for the 2022 Small Farmer of the Year Award.

Many veterinarians can take care of household pets. Prospective veterinarian Bryant Wiley ’20, who graduated in December, likes dogs and cats as much as anyone; he just has a little more familiarity with animals that have horns and hooves than others might.
