Can you believe that It’s time once again for homecoming? After a two-year pause due to COVID-19, we’re able to welcome you all back to the Webb Hall lawn and to our annual college cookout. This event holds many special memories for our alumni and friends of the college and we look forward to your return each year, so come see your friends and make some new ones!

These opportunities to reconnect with the college and other alumni are one of the ways that we’re working to be available to you, our family. Maybe you attended our first inaugural Ag Day at Truist Stadium, or attended our alumni New Year’s Zoom in January. I hope that you will mark your calendars and attend all of our special events, both those in-person and on Zoom – Our college is working to reduce the geographic boundaries that can hinder your ongoing relationship with the college, because our Aggie Family is our lifeblood.

You’ve already taken a great step to staying connected by signing up to receive our college newsletter, CAES News. Here are other ways to keep in touch:

  • Follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook @ncatcaes
  • Find us on YouTube @caesncat
  • Make a donation to your college. Contact CAES Director of Development Kim Davis, kmdavis9@ncat.edu and (336) 334-7600,
  • Or text AGGIE to 71777 to give now.

We are working hard to build our community to benefit the college, the students and the world around us. That means helping our current students look beyond their four years here to recognize the contributions of those who came before, and helping our alumni take ownership of the college’s mission. Maybe you share internship information with the college; take an active role in alumni programs; donate to the college; or serve as a mentor. Our goals are high, but with the efforts of our entire CAES Aggie Family, our goals are achievable.

I’m excited to reconnect with everyone this week and wish you all a happy and safe Homecoming. Thank you for your support in the past; know that your CAES is a national leader, always working to make you proud.

In Aggie Pride,

Dean Mohamed Ahmedna
