Alumni and Donor Appreciation Event set for Sept. 24

September 22, 2020

COVID-19 has kept many faculty and students apart from alumni this fall. The College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences wants to bring them closer together.

In recognition of alumni’s contributions to the college, the CAES will host a virtual Alumni and Donor Appreciation event at 7 p.m. Sept. 24. Virtual invitations will be extended to any alumnus who has donated any amount to the college in the past year.

“In this year in particular, we want to celebrate our successes, like the progress of the new Farm Pavilion, and acknowledge our strengths, like the strong support of our alumni base,” said Mohamed Ahmedna, dean of the college.

Invitees can Zoom in to hear presentations from faculty, staff and students, watch videos, learn about the direction of education on campus in light of COVID-19 and enjoy some special surprises. There will also be a time for alumni to ask questions of faculty and staff.

“We know that people have questions. Especially in this time, we’re glad to share what we know,” Ahmedna said.
