Researchers from the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences and Cooperative Extension at N.C. A&T won awards at the college’s Awards of Excellence luncheon, held May 16 at the University Farm.

The awards were:

  • Interdisciplinary Team Award – Osei Yeboah, Ph.D. and Paula Faulkner, Ph.D. – Department of Agribusiness, Applied Economics and Agriscience Education; Kingsley Ekwemalor, Ph.D., Department of Animal Sciences.
  • Rookie of the Year Award – Blessing Masasi, Ph.D., Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Design.
  • Competitive Research Awards – Arnab Bhowmik, Ph.D. – Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Design; Biswanath Dari, Ph.D. – Cooperative Extension; Roberta Claro Da Silva, Ph.D. – Department of Family and Consumer Sciences; Chyi Lyi Liang, Ph.D. – Cooperative Extension.

N.C. A&T State University’s farm will expand by nearly 90 acres to its largest size in its 124-year history thanks to several recent purchases of adjacent land, according to Jerome Harper, director of real property for the university.
